About The Sound:
Like most flutists are looking for sound: has rich and clear sound, articulate/responsive, has good intonation and projection, stable intonation on playing piano and forte, homogenity from low to high register, reactive in doing fast or slow vibrato and most important of all, produces a smooth legato, these all together produces a sound with character. I started my research on this in 1995. I met various professional flutists including Sir James Galway and have tried many different flutes. I say, not all gold flutes are good and sometimes the problem lies in the headjoint only. When I made my very first headjoint in 1996, a flute professor in Germany requested if he could buy it as he liked it so much. That encourage me really pursue to make headjoint. Now, 2006, I am presenting this headjoint which you would appreciate very much. It would make your professional life easy. You can play like you are singing and can really feel… ‘music instrument is an extension of human voice’. One thing necessary though is that pads of your flute should be properly installed.
