When the medical editors
receive the transcription from the transcription specialist
the first stage of the editing process begins. All of
our medical editors have a minimum of 4 years of experience.
These medical editors check for errors in grammar, terminology,
misspellings, omissions, etc. They are the first filter
for any errors or inaccuracies and take responsibility
for correcting them on the spot.
Following the editing stage of review,
the transcriptions are passed on to our second level
medical editors for the first quality control review.
On the second level, each person has been a medical
editor for at least 5 years. Their pay is dependent
on the accuracy of the transcriptions that they pass
on to the next level. Rarely do mistakes get past this
point.
STEP
6: 2nd Level Quality Control
As a final layer of quality control, each transcription
is then printed and passed through for a final review
by a senior level medical editor. All senior level editors
have at least 7 years of medical editing experience.
Transcriptions are again checked for errors in grammar,
spelling and terminology, as well as correct formatting
and client specification. These editors carry the pride
of our 98% guarantee.
